Donations in Rio de Janeiro
At Wat Massage our core value has always been welcoming every type of public and workers. Diversity is a daily practice that we are very proud of. Owned by an immigrant, from a disadvantaged family born in a low income neighborhood area in Rio de Janeiro - Brazil, Alan Pavesi had to face the most difficult challenges, dealing with poverty and discrimination. Eventually, at 42 years old, Alan is a successful entrepreneur and committed to help others in need.
In the middle of the pandemic and of a human rights violation scenario for Brazilian people, Alan decided to go back to Brazil in 2020 and work to build a fairer society. He decided to invest his work for charity as a volunteer at ONG Alpa, a non-profit organization in Rio established for years supporting families who struggle to have food on their table.
Alan began fundraising by just sharing with friends and employees. The success and power of donations made it possible to feed over 365 families. That experience increased the desire to help more and the spreading of love of those who contributed to the most difficult times were fundamental for the development of PROJEC: A space dedicated to provide free education for teens living at favelas and purchase food for families in need.
Today, Wat Massage proudly sponsors PROJEC, a non-profit created by Alan Pavesi working with ONG ALFA with a physical space rented, classrooms, air conditioner, chairs, books and supplies, etc for students. At the educational center we offer Computer Science, English, Spanish, hand-craft classes and other courses to help teenagers and low-income families having an additional income.
In order to keep our project going we are inviting you or your organization to help us to continue our work. Every donation is welcome, the amount will be converted to BRL money and used for the purchase of food and medication to the those in most need in such hard times.
We are also looking for child sponsors that will contribute to the purchase of school supplies and Holliday gifts.
